Corn season is over, but my Dad sent this YouTube video to help me shuck corn from the cob the next time I have to do it.

You have to know that my Dad is around 85 years old. He is pioneer in aerospace engineering and during my lifetime our kitchen was complete with the latest technology. We had gadgets of all kinds and my Mother was experimental.

I remember the first time she made a pizza. Not being an Italian, it was not recognizable as being pizza as we know it today. Yet, when it came to fried chicken and baking a chocolate cake, Mother was the best.

Corn on the cob is a frequent problem at our house because my wife hates the silk in corn while she is trying to eat it. So, if this technique works and there is no silk, I will probably adopt it.

One problem. My wife doesn’t like microwave ovens.
