Spaghettios Recall 2010: SpaghettiOs with Meatballs Recall Due to Under-Processing

Campbell Soup Supply has issued a recall for about 15,000,000 of pounds of their product 'SpaghettiOs with Meatballs' sold in cans (see pictures of the labels) as there is suspicion that the meat in the meatballs is undercooked. 

The Following Products Have Been Recalled:

  • SpaghettiOs with Meatballs: 14.75-ounce cans with code U5 on the bottom of the can
  • SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs: 14.75-ounce cans with code 4N on the bottom of the can
  • SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars): 14.75-ounce cans with code KS on the bottom of the can.

These products bear the establishment EST 4K and has a 'use by' date of between June 2010 and December 2011. They were made between December 2008 and June 2010.

The problem was discovered through a routine warehouse inspection by the company and its subsequent investigation. FSIS has received no reports of illnesses from consumption of these products.
