Comic Con 2009: Star Trek Cologne

Star Trek fans can now be just one step close to their favorite characters as a range of Star Trek colognes designed to appeal to fans has gone on sale.

There are three scents available, including Tiberius Aftershave and Red Shirt Aftershave for men, and Pon Farr Perfume for women.

According to Firebox, the online retailer of the Star Trek colognes:

Have you ever wondered how Captain Kirk pulled all those hot aliens? It wasn’t the lopsided wig. It wasn’t the ham-laden gravitas. And it certainly wasn’t the way he spoke. As. If. Each. Word. Was. Its. Own. Sentence. No people, James Tiberius Kirk was a hit because he smelt fantastic. And so can you thanks toStar Trek Colognes.

According to the creators Genki Wear, Tiberium, originated from the middle name of James T Kirk, who is the captain of the USS Enterprise played by William Shatner, bears a "casual yet commanding" aroma, by combining citron, black pepper, and cedar top notes, with vanilla, white musk, and sandalwood base notes.

The Red Shirt, inspired by the apparel favored by the "bold but stupid extras" who "always met a grisly end during away missions," is sold under the slogan: "Smell like the future, because tomorrow may never come." It has top notes of green mandarin, bergamot, and hints of lavander, and base notes of leather and grey musk.

Ponn Farr
, named after the Vulcan mating cycle, has top notes of citrus, black currant, lotus blossom, and water lily, and base notes of sandalwood, peach, and mulberry.

You can buy the Star Trek colognes here for $49 each.
