First lady Michelle Obama worked with Guest Chef Marcus Samuelsson and White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford and her team to create this carefully planned state dinner. The focus this year is on sustainable and regional food, as well as Indian flavors for the special guest from India, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Guests can choose between roasted potato dumpling or green curry pawns. This is especially important because Prime Minister Singh is a vegetarian.
