Fashion designer Sylvie Cachay was found dead in a bathtub at Soho House, a hotel on 9th Avenue in Lower Manhattan. Nicholas Brooks Questioned in Sylvie Cachay Death
Ms. Cachay's boyfriend Nicholas Brooks was brought in by police for questioning. While a cause of death has not yet been determined, Sylvie Cachay's body had bruises on the neck.

Ms. Cachay was pronounced dead at the hotel, the police said. Her body had “no obvious trauma,” said a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing. She appeared to have some redness around her collarbone, but no conclusion could be drawn from that, the official said.
