There's a new baby in the house...my new Nikon D40!

Blamstur tagged me a few days ago, but I was in Texas, so I'm doing it now. Here's an explaination....quoted probably third hand now....

"for those that don't know how this goes .... when someone (one of your contacts) tags you ... you must put up a photo ....(preferably of yourself ... but whatever suits your mood at the time will work as well).... then you follow with 16 different facts about yourself. its really easy .

i will be tagging a few of you in the coming days .. so be prepared ! its lots of fun .. and it really helps you to get to know a person better.

to me getting to know your contacts is like gold ...... they have become some of your closer friends ."

16. I'm from nowhere. I lived in Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Mexico, Minnesota, and Michigan before I was 25. I've lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan longer than anywhere else.
15.Ugh, I'm a food snob, and I love to go grocery shopping.
14. Even though I have a new D40, I still use my Canon Elph...I don't want it to feel like I've abandoned it. I was the same way when I got a new toy when I was a kid. I would play with my old ones because I didn't want them to feel bad about themselves.
13. I drink probably about four or five cups of tea a day.
12. I love period fiction and movies, especially anything set in the 19th century.
11. I love smartwool socks.
10. I love to clean. I'm not actually good at it, though.
9. I have more books than I can count, but I reread about five of them every year. I'm about to start Julian Barnes' Flaubert's Parrot again.
8. I love cheese, but it makes me sick.
7. My dad was born in Mexico and constantly talks about going back, but I don't think he will. My mom is from Pennsylvania.
6. I'm slightly addicted to purses.
5. I love making lists.
4. I think my husband and I are addicted to Law and Order.
3. I have more lipbalm/gloss/stain than I could ever use.
2. I love my job. I teach high school English at an all-girls Catholic school.
1. Only this year I began to believe that I am a good teacher of writing. I worked with the National Writing Project this summer and it totally changed my teaching. It's such a hard thing to teach, and I get better at it every day.
