Taylor Swift Opens Up About Relationships on "Katie"
Although the segment isn't scheduled to air until Friday (October 26), a sneak peek at Taylor Swift'srevealing interview with Katie Couric has hit the web.
The 22-year-old singer can be heard opening up about her songwriting as well as her former relationships with big name celebrities.
When Miss Couric asked if any ex-men called to complain about revealing songs, Taylor responded, “Well, some of them like to write really long emails.”
The “Mean” singer also explained that although she avoids reading tabloids, the media can still impact her relationships.
“I don't know how to have a normal relationship because I try to act normal and love from a normal place and live a normal life, but there is sort of an abnormal magnifying glass, like [a] telescope lens, on everything that happens between me and anybody else,” Taylor said.
It has been a whirlwind of a week for Swift, who looked busy with promotional duties while out in New York City earlier today (October 24).
The “I Knew You Were Trouble” songstress wore a red top and plaid skirt as she greeted fans as part of her Red album launch.
And it sounds like T-Swift is headed toward a million-selling week for her new record, according to a report from Billboard.
She currently holds the #1 spot on the iTunes album chart and has three singles in the iTunes top songs- “State of Grace,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Even more impressive, industry reports have her fourth studio album flying off the shelves at a rate of 262,000 copies on the first day, not to mention already having sold 4.5 million individual songs online.
If the pop/country singer does meet the one million mark, such a feat would make her the first artist in over a decade to release back-to-back albums that sell more than a million copies in their first week.
