John Varey is filling the gaps for sandwich manufacturer, Tiffin Foods, as their Marketing Director. John has been brought into the company to help sustain the good results that the company has seen in the last two years. In 2008 the company saw a record profit, which was then itself beaten last year. The convenience food 2go supplier features particularly strongly in organisations such as the NHS, Airlines, supermarkets, universities, the leisure industry and some bigger businesses. Even though the Bradford company is providing 120-170,000 sandwiches a week, managing director, Douglas Mclean , says that figure will triple over the next three years.“We didn’t grow as fast as we might have done in the earlydays; but that turned out to be our strength, as othersfrequently expanded too fast,” said Douglas. Around 300 products are now available - hot and cold, healthy/Lighten Up!, gourmet and halal, to name but a few. John, Douglas and his team are also in talks with otherparties to develop
