Todd Palin stated today that the lavish spending on clothes during wife Sarah's campaign was out of thier control and was not their fault. Todd Palin reveals to the Men's Journal magazine that the more than $150,000 spent on clothes, accessories and beauty services was through their team of handlers and had little to do with them.
"She never went to Saks, or any of that stuff," he said. "You come into a campaign late, you put all your trust into the team, you got people who are working on VP ops for a long time, and we're just focused on debate prep. I couldn't give a rat's (expletive) about clothes. Please. I mean these are my Sunday go-to-meeting jeans!"
Both Palin and McCain were criticized for over spending during their campaign: it included a $75,062 shopping expidition at Neiman Marcus and a $49,425 shopping spree at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Palin marketed herself as a 'hockey mom', but this did not match her supposed spending during the campaign.
The Men's Journal goes on sale April 10.

She is in the public eye, So she will have stylist and hairdressers manicurist you name it.But see to be honest A wouldnt have her job in a million years even if offered on a silver platter.Life is for the living not the prentious living.A wish her well, she looks healthy and self assured.I bet she does not get time to stop and really smell the roses. The words Buzy wee bumble bee buzzing around in never ending pretentious circles. No I dont begrudge her the clothes,for the reality is most probably likely to be ! She steps out of the designer shoes flops onto her bed and shoves on a pair of comfortable joggy bottoms and a tea shirt.That is when her feet get the chance to come back on the ground.
