Top US Baby Names Released, May 2011: List of Popular 2010 Names

On May 4, 2011, the US Social Security Administration released the most popular baby names of 2010.

Overall, there weren't too many changes to the most popular baby name list from the year before. The name Jacob is #1 on the boys list, and some suggest that it may have something to do with the popular Twilight series of book and films.

The Social Security Administration also released a list of top trending names that have seen the biggest boost in popularity. The names Maci and Bentley saw a spike in popularity, perhaps because they were featured on the MTV series Teen Mom.
