Twilight Movie Debute

Update

"Twilight," a vampire love story written and directed by women, opened at No. 1 in U.S. theaters, Box Office Mojo said Sunday.

Twilight" tallied an estimated $70.55 million in its first weekend. The screenplay for the romantic horror film, based on a novel by Stephenie Meyer, was written by Melissa Rosenberg and directed by Catherine Hardwicke..

Pushed down to No. 2 was "Quantum of Solace," which pulled in another $27.4 million for a two-week total of $109.48 million.

My review:

The fans of the twilight series will be satisfied with the open ended ending for this movie, suggesting that there will be a sequel to the other three books New Moon, Eclipse, and finally Breaking Dawn. You might be disappointed with the non existent comic book characters with the cool vampires and evenescence music in the background typical to most vampire movies but fans of Stephanie Meyer will be glad that the movie follows the book Twilight focusing on Edward and Bella's relationships, the teenage vampire with the outcast and unpopular teenage girl. If i were a guy..( this is a warning to all guys who are thinking of bringing their dates to see this movie) i would definitely not bring a teenage girl to watch this flick because they'll be more interested in Rob Pattinson acting as Edward Cullen in the movie!

You needn't read Twilight, Stephenie Meyer's best seller, to know where its secret pulses reside. Just see the movie version and listen to the reactions of the girls in the theater (TIME surveys the fangirls behind the Twilight phenomenon). There's an audible shiver as they first spy the teen vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), his impossibly gorgeous face caked in a mime's pallor, sitting in biology class next to young Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). When he holds an apple in his hands to present to her — the novel's cover image — the girls emit an awestruck sigh, as if they'd just seen Zac Efron in the flesh or a puppy on YouTube. And when he tells Bella, "So the lion fell in love with the lamb," you hear applause, the imprimatur of Meyer's young connoisseurs. To judge from a preview screening, Twilight the movie is their dream of the book projected 30 feet high.

Saturday, November 22, I went to go see the movie Twilight. The movie was the beginning of a phenomenon among this generation. The books have taken a sweep across teen readers, the movie will do the same. With amazing actors, plot line, and everything in this movie.

I finally watched the movie! I'm so frustrated that the Malaysian version was censored. All kissing scenes and intimate scenes between Edward and Bella. Forgive me, I'm not a pervert, but those scenes are important to establish the characters and the story together, I mean, that's how I understand how Bella and Edward, the star crossed lovers, would eventually triumphed in their love story. Inseparable in life, and death. Not only did the censorship board delete the intimate scenes, they also deleted the scenes where Edward and Bella declared their love and feelings to one another!!

agree with you. frustrated with that malaysian censored, somehow made the movie a little bit awkward(I'm not sure this is the right word). I'm from the country that have the moslem population the most in the world, but still the censorship even better there. My friend said I'm a little bit weird, moody, and sometimes like a psychopath, somehow I also drawned me to the movie that provide that kind of characters also, and Twilight is very me. Twilight definitely the best and most entertaining movie that I watched this year. And the casts for Bella and Edward is right on the money
