Twisted Republic changed, in a way, the night club scene in Bangkok with several concepts that had not been seen before in Asia. It opened on November 1, 2007 and was started by a group of experienced professionals from different parts of the world who have had combined experiences within the clubbing scenes for many years. A spokesman for the club said just before the opening “I have lived in Bangkok for ten years now and have seen many changes within the Bangkok night life, but for the last 3 or 4 years it’s become a bit predictable and many people are looking for something new to bring a bit of fresh air back to the scene, that’s why we have pushed hard to bring a concept that no one has seen before in Asia”.
Twisted Republic secured a deal with the company Mind Storm who launched an interactive technology called i-bar which had only been used in advertising concepts before.
Mind Storm agreed to install its first ever 12 meter fully interactive i-bar in Twisted Republic along with 4 interactive VIP tables. By the use of projectors and interactive software, the bar and tables are able to project the effect of real fire, water, stars, tile flips etc onto our four VIP interactive tables and 12 meter long interactive bar. When you run your hand across its surface top, it creates the effect that you are running your hand through the real thing enabling you to move fire, water and any interactive program being projected onto the I-Tables and I-Bar. This unique motion sensitive, multi-touch interactive technology transforms otherwise static surfaces throughout the venue into intelligent displays and turns passive customers into active participants by fusing light, touch and playful interactivity. These programmable surfaces can display anything your imagination desires.
The possibilities using this technology are literally endless. It truly is a memorable experience and a great way to keep party-goers entertained. Software programs can be created for sponsors creating a powerful new marketing tool. Company logos, names, and products can be projected onto the I-Tables and I-Bar allowing customers to interact with the projection in many new and exciting ways. This was a first for Asia and gave Twisted Republic a unique image.
The club's music policy is refreshing, combining talented resident DJs with special events featuring cutting edge music supplied by the some of the best international DJs, producers and artists. The Audio Intelligence Showcase sound system for Asia with its Ferrari Red Custom speakers lets people really feel the music.
They've also got a Vodka Bar that's inside an Ice Room with a bar, table and chairs made from 100% solid Ice. At -14 Celsius the Vodka Bar is certainly the coolest bar in Bangkok. Special Siberian hats & coats are provided while you sip away the many ice chilled Fruit Infused and Premium Vodkas on hand.
