Urban Outfitters Obama/Black Shirt Pulled From BDG Web Listing
Urban Outfitters pulled one of their shirts from their website inventory today after a poor choice was made in the marketing department. The UO brand carries labels such as BDG, Truly Madly Deeply, Betsey Johnson, Converse, Frye, and Silence & Noise.
One of their BDG shirts was found to have a startling description on the Urban Outfitters website. The BDG Burnout Henley was listed in stock in colour choices of "White/Charcoal" or "Obama/Black."
As of Monday morning, the shirt was no longer available. The chain has sold Obama-themed t-shirts in the past, but reportedly hasn't used "Obama" as a color description.
As of this morning, the "Obama/Black" colour choice was removed from the BDG Burnout Henley listing on the Urban Outfitters website. UO has carried numerous Obama themed shirts and clothing items in the past, but this marks the first time that the clothing company has used Obama/Black as a colour description for any item.
