Using Panda Food to Covers Human's Windows by Rowan

The idea itself brings to mind Mom saying, "Don't play with your food, dear."

But even if Mom isn't a Panda - it seems it is now socially acceptable and totally cool.

Approximately 99% of a Giant Panda's food is bamboo, and the average bear can eat 3,500 stalks per day. Although while it turns out bamboo is not very nutritious (the reason Pandas must spend most of their waking time feeding) - it is an excellent material for covering human's home windows.

Bamboo has been showing up as the hot new material in everything from baby clothes to linens to clothing - and now those in search of a "greener" home can now cover their windows (in style, I might add) with the most sustainable grass on the planet.

The folks over at DrapeStyle - http://www.drapestyle.com - an international window decor textile company based in Costa Mesa, California -  recently released bamboo drapes in 10 unique designs. Bamboo looks like expensive Pima or Egyptian cotton and drapes like silk. It has been described as feeling like pure cashmere. Bamboo keeps your home cool in the summer and warmer in the winter. It is also naturally hypo-allergenic, and anti-bacterial, repels odor and is great for people with allergies or asthma.

Now in addition to being Green - it's also beautiful ... a difficult task to achieve as many environmentally friendly home products often look like they came out of Aunt Frieda's basement after her nasty divorce (Mom's " target="_blank" target="_blank"hippy" sister known to trip the light fantastic).

DrapeStyle takes orders online because each panel is custom-made ... no two orders are ever alike. They ship all over the world - Iowa, New York, Texas,  Maine, Florida, Switzerland, Japan, Canada - even exotic Minnesota! So name any location - and they'll get custom-made, eco-friendly window treatments and drapes there fast (around 2 weeks from order to delivery). However, if in the Orange County, California area - their retail location is now open to the general public. DrapeStyle's showroom is located in the StoneMill Design Center: 2915 Red Hill Ave, Suite A-108, Costa Mesa, California 92626.
