Valentino Broadcasts Paris Couture Show Live

Paris Haute Couture shows began yesterday and Valentino is streaming their spring/summer 2009 show live to the Valentino boutiques in Paris and Milan. The runway presentation will directed via satellite to plasma TV screens that were specially installed in the boutiques for this occasion.

To mark the unveiling of the first collection proper by new creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, the event promises to transfer the new Valentino vision into an "urban and sophisticated, dreamlike and digital dimension".

The Fashion World is thriving in Second Life, a virtual world filled with great people, incredible content and boundless ideas.

In this image, taken at the SuperElite Modeling Academy Graduation Show on Fashionista Island, I'm wearing "Valentino" from Alatiel Fashion, one of Second Life's finest designers.

"Valentino" is a vibrant full length gown with ruched shoulders and a daring low V-neckline. Note the billowing lace overlay skirt and Empire waistline. Long lace ribbons cascade from the attached sculpted fabric brooch adding an extra touch of glamour.
