A moon era vintage-clad Vanna Bonta introduced "the future of smart fashion" at the NASA Ames Research Facility celebration of Yuri's Night, a worldwide event every April 12 celebrating the anniversary of the space shuttle and first human being in space.
Touting that the wild west didn't stop the hoop skirt and neither will space, quantum fiction writer Bonta also stressed function and comfort as the new high (haute) style, and presented her latest invention, the Ever shoe, a combination flat that converts to heels with a telescoping platforms or stilettos.
Aerial dancers and a space fashion showcase from a Tokyo designer collection presented by Misuzu Onuki of Space Fashion Organization complete with audience fashion contest were all highlights of the globally celebrated space bash.
