There are a couple more restaurants offering free things to veteran's on Veteran's Day. 7-11 is offering all day a free small slurpee Festival Foods is offering all day a free meal from their kitchens. Price Chopper is offering a .25cent discount on each gallon of gasoline put onto your price chopper card. PS. It may take 24 hours to become effective.  These are just a few more tidbits of information for those veterans checking your site for locations of free meals and discounts.

The Subway free six inch promotion is not a national promotion.  As a general rule, if your local store is near a military base, it will not be participating in the promotion.

You might as well take Subway off the list. I called several and they are not participating.

Not sure who you called but I just came back from my local Subway and had a free 6 inch sub. They were very supportive of our veterans.

subway is primarily owned by foreigners - probably the reason they don't really participate.

Cross Subway off your list. The ones that did participate did so from 0700 to 1000 or 0700 to 1100 only.

Most Subways are not participating as they are owned by foreigners. However they should be the main ones in participating as the veterans are the reason they are able to enjoy the freedoms allowed by this country. It is really a slap in the face for them to not be in participation.

Applebee's has been doing a great service for our veterans for years now. I have been enjoying their hospitality for three years in a row now and the service is always excellent and the food is superb. Thank you to Applebee's for remembering all of us. God bless the United states o America

I like what Applebees is doing for us Vets'. The only thing that I was dissappointed in is it was for only if you ate inside. Due to my disability it is difficult for me to sit in a booth or a hard wood chair. I asked if I could get it to go and I was turned away. Thanks Applebee.

The Olive Garden gave me a great AUCE soup, salad, and bread sticks...plus a $10 gift certificate for another meal!  Added bonus was that my server, the bartender at the Panama City restaurant (ate at the bar...no waiting), was super friendly and provided absolutely great service!  Panama City, Fl Olive Garden, I salute you!!!  Thanks!!
