Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 Airs on December 3

The ever-popular Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was held in Miami, Florida this year, and will air on CBS on December 3. Anticipation for the annual event, which showcases holiday lingerie pieces on some of the world's top supermodels, is high. 3,500 guests piled into the luxurious and newly renovated Fountainebleau Miami Beach Resort Hotel, which reportedly cost $1 billion to make-over.

For the first time the fashion show, which will air Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 10 p.m. ET, will be held in Miami at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

The annual holiday fashion show will feature supermodel Heidi Klum, and top models Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks and Marisa Miller, among many others.

The models, led by Victoria's Secret alumni Heidi Klum, shot the event on November 15 but it will not air until December. R&B singer Usher was one of the musical guests, and preceded the 35 lingerie-clad models with a musical performance.

“The theme of the show is a return to glamour,” said company CEO Sharen Turney. “Victoria’s Secret is about sexy and the new sexy is glamorous for this season.”

According to AP reports, “The models showed 68 outfits, including the $5 million Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra worn by Lima and designed by jeweler Martin Katz. It is decorated with white and black diamonds and rubies, and will be for sale in the company’s catalog.”

No word on whether any of the models were worried that that their bras may have been laced with formaldehyde.

Interesting story. I just read the link to the formaldehyde story. We have to assume that most commercially produced textiles have been finished with formaldehyde. That's why the instructions that come with new sheets, etc., tell us to wash before using. Then you wash that poison out into the downstream environment from the sewage plant.
