Where The Wild Things Are x Opening Ceremony: Wildly Fashionable

Opening Ceremony, de facto fashionista(o) headquarters and collaborative masters, have ventured to Where The Wild Things Are shockingly fashionable and teamed up with director Spike Jonze for a collection inspired by the upcoming film. The collaborative collection titled Where The Wild Things Are x Opening Ceremony includes both men's and women's pieces based, some more literally than others, off Max and the Wild Things from Maurice Sendak's illustrated classic.
Ira, Douglas, and Max serve as inspiration for the men's collection while the women's collection is a bit more extensive featuring designs drawn from Alexander, K.W., Judith, Ira, Carol, Bull, and Max.
The standout piece, if for nothing else other than its iconicity, is the unisex Max suit which fetches for a wild $610.
"by staring into their yellow eyes without blinking once", max was made the king of the wild things. you can achieve his look far more easily with max's iconic wolf play suit. identical to the one illustrated by maurice sendak and brought to life by spike jonze, our collaborative piece with the director features a super soft faux fur one piece with six brown buttons down the front, a snap off faux raccoon fur tail, attached fingerless gloves, and a hood with attached ears and a snap closure at the neck.
The clothing collection is available now and the jewellery line debuts October 1, 2009.
Admittedly the collection is a bit on the steep side but, if you're like myself and have always wanted to be "the King of all Wild Things" then you'll have to go a little wild and spend some of that hard earned cash. Just remember to save a few bucks to actually see the movie.
