The Wine'tastic Mile is a "Brand Slam" for the City of Baltimore
June 4, 2012- The City of Baltimore this coming Wednesday June 6, 2012 will be celebrating the new name for it's most distinctive downtown corridor.
The 1.3 mile stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Pratt Street to Harbor East will be known as The Wine'tastic Mile of Baltimore.
The city and its resident businesses of the 1.3 mile will now have the opportunity that New York (5th Avenue, Broadway), Chicago (Magnificent Mile), Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive), and Miami (South Beach) to promote its main corridor on national and global level.
In the coming years The Wine'tastic Mile will be viewed as a "Brand Slam" for the City of Baltimore says, Derrick E. Vaughan founder of The Wine'tastic Mile.
Vaughan continues, "when the Magnificent Mile was coined for Michigan Avenue for the City of Chicago by real estate developer Arthur Rubloff the name stuck, and it has made the Magnificent Mile one of the "Great Avenues of America." That type of branding for a city comes once in a lifetime Baltimore's time is now with The Wine'tastic Mile. The food and wine culture in America is at one of its highest levels ever."
Time will tell if Baltimore's Wine'tastic Mile becomes one of the "Great Avenues of America."
