Super Bowl
It is soooo close to the Super Bowl kick-off that you can hear the crisp bills heading into their office pool box for safe keeping. Here at NowPublic we had a tie 4 for Da Bears and 4 for the Colts.
I included a article about how the coaches for both teams are spending their time before the big match-up.
And I thought it would be good to get a photograph update on what is happening in Miami as we speak... I mean it is Friday in Miam, and the sun is setting on the East coast, so like they say what's happeing in Miami. Are people partying now that all most everyone has arrived, chatting with bloated reporters, or taking a nap, applying lotion to those midwestern skins, before hitting the streets & clubs...
As it turns out, the pictures will commemorate the Super Bowl's first black head coaches - who also happen to be close friends. Dungy coaches the Indianapolis Colts, while his protege coaches the Chicago Bears. When the photo session ended, they shook hands and hugged, and Smith departed.
"It's a proud moment for me, an awesome moment," Dungy said, "not only because of what that symbolized for African-American people and African-American coaches, but more than that because of who I was standing with."
Their relationship dates to 1996, when Dungy hired Smith to coach linebackers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have been the lead story all week, discussing daily the laid-back demeanor and Christian faith they share, as well as their groundbreaking achievement.
