The Superman of Metropolis

This is the giant bronze statue that commemorates Metropolis, IL as the hometown of Superman. Metropolis is the only city in the country named Metropolis, so they asked DC Comic's permission to label themselves as such and got it.

This is in the same traffic roundabout as the rather disappointing & sadly, white-trash, Superman Museum of Metropolis, and down the street from the Metropolis Daily Star (the original newspaper in the Superman comics)
