Switzerland and Ukraine square off on Monday as a pair of World Cup darkhouses look to advance to the Round of 16 in Cologne. Switzerland, who won Group G ahead of France, are without Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos for the rest of the tournament after he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the 2-0 win over Korea Republic.

Golden Goal reporting:

The first half of the match is over. The score is 0-0.

Switzerland 0 - Ukraine 0

Will one of the teams be able to score in the upcoming second half? Or will we see a second game today that requires extratime in order to decide the winner?

The 90 minutes playtime are over and extra time is added ... still no scores ...

Switzerland 0 - Ukraine 0

None of the two teams were able to score in overtime. This means: The first penalty shot out of the World Cup 2006.

Ukraine shot their first penalty after both teams missed their first attempt to score.

The Swiss striker shoots against the pole in their second attempt.

The Ukrainian team scored again!!!

The Ukrainian goalie saved the third shot by a Swiss striker .... the Ukraine are one kick away from meeting Italy!!!

And ... The Ukraine wins ... the ball is in the net!!!

Ukraine 3 - Switzerland 0

Switzerland is the first team to be eliminated by a penalty shoot-out! The Swiss players could not handle the pressure. Good-bye Switzerland!!
