Scots music festival T in the Park is winding down after a wet, wet beginning. The sun came out, however, shining down on sixty thousand music fans who came from far and wide to catch their favorite bands in this multi-day musical event.

Thousands of music fans will enjoy the last day of the T in the Park festival today.

The 80,000-strong crowd will watch acts from a host of stars on the third day of the event in Balado, Perthshire.

Glasgow ensemble The Fratellis, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini and American rockers Kings of Leon are among those set to entertain the crowd today.

Eccentric New York group Scissor Sisters will also play on the main stage before headlining act Snow Patrol close the festival.
Organisers of this year's T in the Park have thanked fans for their patience after they were forced to turn thousands of people away on Friday.

Waterlogged car parks were closed at 2230 BST on the first day of the music festival after vehicles became stuck.

Fans attending on Saturday had been urged to use public transport to get to the site at Balado in Kinross-shire.

A spokesman said the sun was now shining and up to 80,000 people would be able to enjoy the rest of the event.

Tayside Police said they had arrested 19 people in the first 24 hours of the festival.

However, they said most offences had been of a minor nature and only six people had been held in custody.

On Friday, police had reported 12 mile tailbacks on the M90 approaching the festival site.

A festival spokesman said 50,000 fans were in the complex when the decision was made to close the car park.

Also, the keyboardist of event headliners Snow patrol had been arrested in Glasgow, but has been freed for this evening's performance. Snow Patrol first played at T in the Park twelve years ago as an unsigned act.
Keyboard player Tom Simpson will play with his band Snow Patrol at T in the Park, despite being detained in Middlesex by police on Saturday.
He was arrested in connection with a failed court appearance in Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police said a 35-year-old man had been due to be transferred to their custody from Uxbridge Police Station, but was later released.
