NOGALES, ARIZONA (Digital Dementia News Services) - The Taco Bell Chihuahua was taken into custody today by the INS as he attempted to sneak back into the United States not far from Nogales.

“It’s the fourth time we’ve caught him,” says border patrolman Rick Hathaway.  “He just keeps coming back because he thinks he is going to rekindle his career in advertising.”

Juan Xavier Martinez, better known as the Taco Bell Dog” appeared in numerous television ads saying “Yo quiero Taco Bell” until activists complained that the advertising was demeaning to Chihuahuas by suggesting that most of them spoke with an accent or were undocumented workers.

As it so happens, that’s when Juan Xavier’s problems got started.  An investigation into the Taco Bell ad campaign quickly revealed that the Taco Bell Dog was indeed an undocumented worker from Guadalajara.

As luck would have it, when he’s not busy trying to sneak across the border, Juan Xavier is employed in the kitchen of a KFC in Puerto Peñasco, México.

“¡Que diabolos! ¡KFC es una porqueria!” complained Juan Xavier through gritted teeth from his cell in the INS detention center.
