With the theme of "Shaping the Post-Crisis World", this year's World Economic Forum brings together participants from more than 90 countries to debate key issues such as the global economy, war, poverty and the environment.

The WEF, an annual meeting of business leaders, politicans, academics, religious leaders, activists and journalists amongst others, is held in the resort of Davos, Switzerland.

Taking place around the same time is the World Social Forum, held by members of the anti-globalization movement, aimed at counteracting media coverage of the World Economic Forum.
