Green Holidays

While the holidays are generally a joyous time, what about the environment? How does human waste throughout this time of cheer accumulate? What about the increased travel on our carbon footprint? Is the turkey on the dinner table safe and ethical to eat? For the rest of 2008, we want to examine how each of these elements of the holiday season - food and drink, travel, decorating and gifts - can still remain part of our holiday routine without sacrificing the environment. How can we keep our holidays green? And do enough people care to make a difference?
