MRSA

MRSA stands for Methicillin (or Multidrug) Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which is an antibiotic-resistant bacteria that causes persistent infections within humans. MRSA is often referred to as a "superbug" because it has become increasingly difficult to treat, and the number of affected individuals continues to rise. It initially presents as a skin rash, but can lead to widespread infection and even death.
