Tax Day Tea Parties

April 15 is tax day in the United States and frustrated American taxpayers have rallied in 700 cities across the nation to "party like it's 1773" and protest the billions spent on the bailout bill and the trillion dollar stimulus package in a series of coordinated Tax Day Tea Party protests.

Touted as an homage to the 1773 Boston Tea Party, the 2009 Tax Day Tea Party organisers and participants are hoping to tell the US government that they have had enough.
