Vancouver Stanley Cup Riot 2011

When the Canucks lost the 2011 Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins on June 15, a city full of Canucks fans were saddened and angry. Fueled by alcohol, rage, and the desire to cause trouble for its own sake, some of the people who came downtown for the big game began to riot. While many predicted some sort of Vancouver riot if the Canucks lost, nobody expected it to be quite this bad. Over 100 people were arrested, and eight people will be facing criminal charges. Expect that number to grow as more and more rioters get identified. This is inevitable when you loot a department store while being filmed by 50 iPhones
