2009 Golden Globe Awards

The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles, California on Sunday January 11th, 2009. The annual film and television awards, compiled by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, were telecast around the world.

Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire" was the big winner, taking home four awards for Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score. Kate Winslet won two awards: Best Actress for her performance in "Revolutionary Road" and Best Supporting Actress for her role in "The Reader". Mickey Rourke won Best Actor award for "The Wrestler" and Heath Ledger won a posthumous award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Dark Knight". See below for a complete list of winners.
