The 2010 Paralympic Games begin on March 12 in Vancouver. Over the nine days, the world will come together to celebrate the achievements of Paralympians who found strength to compete in the face of disability. The Paralympic torch relay will end at BC Place Stadium on Friday, March 12, where Olympic cauldron will be lit.
Five sport events will be featured at X Paralympic Winter Games this winter: biathlon, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling.
Around 500 Paralympians from 42 countries are expected to compete in Vancouver and Whistler in 5 different events: Biathlon, Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Ice Sledge Hockey, and Wheelchair Curling
