If this report is accurate, what excuse can the Bush administration feed to the world community and the American public to explain how Bid-Laden could still be operating in Afghanistan alive and well despite the presence of U.S., British and other coalition troops and mercenaries? Where is the accountability?

Or, as is most likely the case, the Bush government has created yet another Boogyman talking point to justify the American military presence in that nation and by extention, the entire Arabian world. It would appear that the Bush administration is playing by the Al Quida playbook by remaining in the area depite the intense animosity towards what they view as undue foreign intervention in thier nations. Bin-Laden, in a televised communique said that once the U.S. comes in to a Arab nation, "they never leave."

The Bush government is apparently either ignorant of this prophetic utterance, or bumbling in thier administration of what they thought would be an easy colonial adventure in what should have been an simple Arabian oil grab. The human drive for freedom from oppression, in this case U.S. occupation, is like the original title for the American invasion, (Operation Crusade) something the U.S. planners did not plan very well. The Bush administration should heed my favourite African proverb:

Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.

From Intelligentaindigena:

Following are excerpts from an interview with Taliban Military Commander Mullah Dadallah, which aired by Al-Jazeera TV on April 30, 2007. See the Video from Al Jazeera here.

Interviewer: Let's move to the issue of Bin Laden, who has not appeared in the media for over a year. How do you, in the Afghan Taliban movement, view his disappearance? Is it true, as has been reported, that he may be dead? Or do you have information that he is alive?

Mullah Dadallah: Allah be praised, he is alive, and we have information about him. Allah be praised, he formulates the plans in Iraq and Afghanistan. You may recall the martyrdom operation in the Baghram base, which targeted a senior American official. No Afghan can reach the Baghram base. This operation is the result of his blessed planning. He is the one who formulated the details of this plan and who instructed us. The operation was successful, and, Allah willing, you will hear him speaking. As the operations intensify, a video statement by him will be released, Allah willing. We have information that he is alive, and that he is in constant contact with the mujahideen.
