Poor Tammy Faye. Her husband set out to swindle people in the name of religion, but I don't think she ever had a clue. Rest in peace.

I wonder why the relatively long delay.

One of the most colorful -- if not most likeable -- American characters passes on.

Just a footnote: I used to watch the PTL Club every Sunday night when Jim & Tammy were at their zenith. Even in this part of the USA (South Carolina), it was outrageous entertainment -- two televangleists who created a heaven on earth outside Charlotte, NC (one part Disney World and one part Bramson, MO). I wish someone would put out a DVD series of those shows. Just incredible. Maybe I'll write a reminiscence of the trip I took to Heritage Village jwith some friends ust after the Bakkers' fall from Grace. I only wish I'd taken photos. I did buy the souvenir book to refresh my memories. Maybe I can resort to collage/montage graphics to skirt the copyright issues?

ricknight -- it wouldn't be such a leap. The songs are already there. The PTL Singers had at least one production number every week.
