Tapping in the Boys Room
“At 1216 hours, Craig tapped his right foot. I recognized this as a
signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. Craig tapped
his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot. I moved my
foot up and down slowly. While this was occurring, the male in the
stall to my right was still present. I could hear several unknown
persons in the restroom that appeared to use the restroom for its
intended use. The presence of others did not seem to deter Craig as he
moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which
was within my stall area,” the report states.
Craig then
proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times, and
Karsnia noted in his report that “I could ... see Craig had a gold ring
on his ring finger as his hand was on my side of the stall divider.”
When the ethics committee voted to boot Bob Packwood from the Senate
for lewd sexual harassment in 1995, Sen. Larry Craig lamented the
difficult decision, but called it "the right one."
After Packwood resigned the next day, Craig, then a member of the Senate ethics committee, shared a tearful embrace with his former colleague.
"One particularly poignant moment came during an exchange between
Packwood and Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, a member of the Ethics panel,"
Edwin Chen reported in the Los Angeles Times Sept. 8, 1995. "Afterward,
they shook hands and hugged one another. Then Craig began sobbing and
quickly strode into the GOP cloakroom, his hands covering his face."

Good Story, One wonders since his arrest if he like so many other convicted hypocrite offenders convieniently state to the world that they have found "religion" as a way of endearing them back into the hearts of his constituents, jurors and media. much like convicted Dog Fight participant Vicks, who states he has found "Jaysus" in an effort to get back into his Fans and NFL good graces. A convienence I don't buy.

Possibly, like Mark Foley he was ritually abused as a child or as Florida State Representative Bob Allen he is totally "innocent" Allen offered an undercover cop a twenty to let him perform oral sex. It is amazing this undercover cop who knew before hand it was Allen would put his whole career on the line by falsely accusing a State Representative.(not) As in Vic and Paris Hilton's case Jesus usually only becomes your co-pilot "after" you are finally cornered into an admission of guilt. Craig has taken the "wide stance" defense. As he goes the way of Mark Foley he may indeed be tapping out, "Jesus Loves me." But, if cornered we can be assured the excuses and repentances will be highly creative.

Perhaps his new found religion will cure him of shopping for backdoor fudgery in toilet stalls.
