One voice on the taser situation - excerpt:

I would like to point out how arrogant it is of so many people to
claim they know better than the people who actually witnessed the
event, to say nothing of those who were involved in it and trained to
deal with it. The video tells less than half the story. It's tragic,
shocking, and upsetting but it's far from conclusive.

Here's my take on it. The poor fellow appeared to have a weapon when
he was tasered. Look closely, go frame by frame if you have to, I did.
When he jolts after the first shot his arm jerks up and you can clearly
see some kind of black rod in his hand, perhaps a stanchion. If that is
as it appears tasering would seem a valid response.

Was it handled perfectly? No. But when in your life have you handled anything perfectly?

You are simply a moron.  To suggest tha the RCMP were even slightly justified in their actions proves only one thing.  You are biased and I can only hope something similar happens to you one day.

ReBuff, NowPublic is a "no flaming" zone. Check out the Newsroom (tab at the top of the page) and read the basics, including the flaming policy. Thanks.

Isabella, I'd like to put a "Good Stuff" flag on this. Could you make some changes? Firstly, you need a headline that tells the reader what this is about--a different opinion on judging taser use. Check out the Newsroom for J-Tips.

Then you need to use the Highlight Tool to distinguish anything that you say or write from what you're quoting.

Lead into the highlighted material with some commentary from you.

You'll be amazed at how much these simple steps can change the presentation and also increase your readership.

Also (and this could be a tagging issue) this is more of an opinion piece rather than news, so it should probably be moved to the 'opinion' category.
