F-35 JSF update for RAAF purchase

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. in Fort Worth says around 850 layoffs will begin in April as the Joint Strike Fighter development comes to a close.

The first 250 cuts are expected in April.

The majority of the 850 job cuts will occur at the Fort Worth facility.

Overall, Lockheed has about 14,400 employees in Fort Worth, including roughly 4,000 working on the JSF project, said spokesman Joe Stout.

He said most of the initial development work on the JSF is complete, so fewer engineers are needed.

Also Wednesday, Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control division in Grand Prairie said that it has won a $512 million contract to provide rocket systems to the U.S. Army and Marine

I am sure Iran will give them a job! They may even pay for the moving expenses and give them a bonus.
