Action Electronics: Steve Jobs ActionPad Advert in Bad Taste

A Taiwanese commercial for the Android-based ActionPad depicts a Steve Jobs impersonator giving a keynote speech in Heaven... and introducing an ActionPad. The fake Steve Jobs says, "Thank God I get to play with other tablets".

Comedian Ah-Ken plays Steve Jobs (who isn't named in the commercial, but come on), and the Action Electronics ad has already been drawing fire, because, well, just watch the video below.

Apparently misunderstanding the entire concept of how endorsement works, an Action Electronics spokeswoman said, "Steve Jobs always promoted things that were good for people, Apple products, so his image can also promote other things that are good."

Uh, no.

Adding insult to injury is the fact that the ActionPad looks really lame. It's also worth pointing out how much Steve Jobs professed to hate Android.
