The January 27 Apple announcement might have been leaked on Twitter prior to the Apple press conference today. The Apple event that is rumored to conclude with a major Apple announcement is a big hit on the Internet right now with Facebook and Twitter infiltrated by messages about Apple. Many people are planning to watch the Apple event live from San Francisco at at 10am PST/1pm EST, but the hype is prompting many people to jump the queue and learn the Apple news first. Some just could not hold it in anymore, leaking the upcoming Apple announcement on Twitter.

It is not clear if the leaked information is true, but entrepreneur Jason Calacanis has Tweeted many of the features of the new Apple Tablet. He mentions things like wireless charging via optional base station, protective glossy coating, comparative sizing, pricing, facial recognition software, gaming wifi and other features that were not supposed to be disclosed before the launch. Calacanis says he was given the Tablet by Apple ten days ago as a pundit for his appearance on some of the major TV networks. It is not clear if Calacanis was actually authorized to leak some of the Tablet features online.

The hashtag that people are using to look for news on Apple announcement right now is #apple. Twitter trends are now dominated by Apple with five out of the ten top trends being - Apple Tablet, #apple, Frantic Steve Jobs, iTablet and iSlate.
