Asean summit focuses on South China Sea tension, economy
Leaders of the 10-member nation of the Southeast Asian Nations are now gathering in Brunei to discuss ranging issues and one of them is how to handle territorial dispute over South China Sea.
According to reports, China claimned that it has sovereign rights to nearly all of the South China Sea. But ASEAN members the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei, as well as Taiwan, also claim parts of the strategically vital and resource-rich body of water.
