Aurasma App Augments Reality
The revolutionary Aurasma app combines the physical and the virtual by what appears to be magic.
The new interactive smartphone app recognizes real world images, symbols, and objects and then immediately delivers relevant content by video, animation, audio, or webpage.
The interactive content called Auras are described as “augmented reality actions – such as a photo or video overlaid on a static image.”
Basically, users may view or create videos, audio clips, or interactions after placing their smartphone over a still-image.
The genuine magic of the Aurasma app can only be understood after viewing the Aurasma Demo video on YouTube.
This futuristic, interactive app seems like it came straight out of a Harry Potter movie. Rory Cellan-Jones from the BBC states, "Not often new tech makes me go 'wow' - this Aurasma augmented reality app did."
