New years Day 2009. B-2 Spirit of Pennsylvania fly’s over a record crowd at the Pasadena Rose Parade after a delay due to very cold temperatures in Palmdale California. Staging out of Plant 42 for the Pasadena flights. First ship, Spirit of Missouri, was ready to go over the Rose Parade run but halted on the taxiway and went back to the ramp while the Spirit of Pennsylvania took its place and took off at 08:20. The temp was a frosty 25 degrees. About an hour later, the Spirit of Missouri took off and joined the Pennsylvania on a training sortie up north then came back for an spectacular display over the Rose Bowl nice and slow for all to see at 2pm for the game opener. At about 2:25 both ships came in for a landing at Plant 42.
