Bank Secret Fees

"One of most dangerous things going on with consumers is they are not paying attention to the variety of ways they are paying. They are balancing money back and forth because it's too hard to account for. Consumers shouldn't say to the bank ‘you're responsible to tell me what I'm doing with my money.'"
Banks are very good at
adding fees and charges
for services and it takes
time to keep up with all of
them. Customers do need
to look at the statement from
the bank and understand what
and how much they are being
charged.

My bank charges £39 for a letter to tell me i've went overdrawn. Now all my letters from the bank are e-letters but if I went over drawn they would still charge the same.
They aren't even printing something.

They will tell you that those are all administrative fees for their trouble. Don;t try to collect though if they screw up in their favour.

It would seem fair that they pay you if they make a mistake.
