A minimum of 5 years of professional information systems auditing, control or security work experience is required for certification. CISA training evaluates the information security policies, standards and procedures for completeness and alignment with generally accepted practices. Also through CISA certification examination you will get knowledge of the processes and procedures used to store, retrieve, transport and dispose of confidential information assets. A candidate must receive a score of 450 or higher to pass the CISA certification exam. As of 2011, the CISA certification course exam will cover 5 content areas. CISA certification course contains mainly 5 domains. CISA certification domain 1, the process of auditing information systems provide audit services in accordance with IT audit standards to assist the organization in protecting and controlling information systems. CISA certification domain 2, Governance and Management of IT, provide assurance that the necessary leadership and organization structure and processes is in place to achieve objectives and to support the organization's strategy.

Candidate scores in the CISA course exam are reported as a scaled score. A scaled score is a conversion of a candidate's raw score on an exam to a common scale. ISACA uses and reports scores on a common scale from 200 to 800. For example, the scaled score of 800 in the CISA course exam represents a perfect score with all questions answered correctly; a scaled score of 200 is the lowest score possible and signifies that only a small number of questions were answered correctly. The CISA course exam was revised from 6 domains to 5. All CISA course domains were revised and updated in this process.
