One of few British car manufacturers – the Morgan have revealed their new car. Eva GT was show stealer at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance down in California on Sunday. Two-plus-two cabin layout and generous boot will allow Eva to be not only a GT car but an every day friend. Despite it being a four seater, Charles Morgan said the rear seats will suit small adults and kids better.

Measuring 4.7 metre in length and 1.8 metres in width it's not what you would call small. But despite being rather sporty shaped Eva will hit 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. And that's due to it's twin-turbo flat six engine, borrowed from BMW.

While weighting 1250kg and being built using the firm’s unique aluminium body and chassis technologies Eva will use 40mpg and dispose modest 200g/km CO2 emissions.

Even Morgan is rather old fashioned about interior and technology but Eva will be equipped with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, xenon headlights and satellite navigation. All of which will come as standard. There will also be a choice of two gearboxes – a six-speed ZF automatic and six-speed manual.

So far it is unknown how much it will cost to own one Eva GT but prices are expected to be around 70,000 pounds.
