It's finally happened. Betty White has joined Twitter. A darling of both the small screen and the internet, Betty White has avoided Twitter for years.

After a Facebook campaign to get Betty White to host SNL succeeded, White remarked that, to contact her own social circle, she "needs a ouija board". So, compared to her relationship to Facebook, Betty White is an early adopter of Twitter.

Within moments of joining, Betty White's Twitter account has nearly 5,000 followers.
