WooHooo!! I finally got my BB Storm yesterday. They sold out at most of the Verizon stores the day it came out. It's a pretty sweet phone. My Verizon contract was up and I was considering switching to AT&T and getting the Apple IPhone. Verizon is the sole carrier in the U.S. that offer the Storm.
A couple of things made me stick w/ Verizon and get the BB Storm: better network, they gave me $100 off plus a $50 mail-in rebate and I had read about it's improvements over the Iphone.
Is it an Apple IPhone killer? Not really, but it's a great alternative for U.S. customers who want a touchscreen smartphone and want to stick w/ Verizon Wireless.
Some cool features are: the clickable hi-res touchscreen, 3 different keyboard modes - including landscape, expandable memory, removable battery, multitasking capability, 3.2 MP camera w/ flash and video and it can be used as a tethered modem for laptops. (With a monthly fee)
The negatives? No Wi-fi and typing takes a while to get used to. Verizon is known for it's excellent coverage, so that's not a big issue for me. As far as typing, with all touchscreen phones there is a learning curve. I prefer the clickable screen to the IPhone's hard, non clickable screen.
