DHL is a Deutsche Post company of Germany that provides international shipping of documents and freight as well as contract logistics. The company was founded in 1969 by Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn.

The trio initially provided a courier service between the Continental United States and Hawaii then expanded the business from there. In 1998, Deutsche Post began to acquire shares in DHL, finally reached majority ownership in 2001, and completed the purchase in 2002.

The Boeing 767 is a mid-size, wide-body twinjet airliner produced by the Commercial Airplanes division of The Boeing Company. Passenger versions of the 767 can carry between 181 and 375 passengers, and have a range of 5,200 to 6,590 nautical miles depending on variant and seating configuration. It entered into airliner service in 1982.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)'s Bedek Aviation Group converts the Boeing 767-200 to the Bedek Special Freighter (BDSF) configuration. The conversions are performed at IAI’s Ben Gurion Airport facility.

Bedek’s passenger to freighter conversion line (B747-400, B767-200 and B737-300) is the core business of IAI’s Aircraft Division. Bedek as an exclusive provider of B767-200 conversions and has many satisfied cargo operators. The B767-200 BDSF has proved to be a very successful program.

B767-200 BDSF aircraft operate on three continents with proven reliability and high utilization ratios (up to 3,000 flight hours per year). 767 cargo fleets are expected to expand as more B767-200 and B767-300 aircraft become available on the market.
