Originally from upstate New York, Sam lives in Oregon with his wife, Linda. He is majority owner and president of Centratel, the highest-quality telephone answering service in the United States. About the Book

For small business owners, corporate ladder-climbers, and nine-to-fivers, this is a boots-on-the-ground blueprint for breaking free. There’s nothing mystical here; no feel-good, unsupportable theories of reality that offer little more than immediate comfort. The Work the System method provides simple and dispassionate direction for finding freedom and wealth in the world you now inhabit. It's a roadmap to success you never imagined.

What you learn from this book

Crisis is sometimes a gift. I learned this lesson the hard way eight years ago. After nearly two decades of merciless pressure in my business and personal life, I was a financial, physical, and emotional wreck.

But in an unexpected moment of insight, the clutter, complexity, and unpredictability of my life dissolved. It was a simple thing, really, but my perception of life was altered permanently. For once, I saw with clarity.

I applied this new vision, this new way of thinking, to my near-bankrupt business, to my waste of a physical body, and to my chaotic, lonely personal life. The mechanics of it were simple: One at a time, I isolated problematic systems from the complexity of sights, sounds, and events that composed my business, my body, and my personal relationships. Then I removed those isolated systems for inspection, repaired them, and reinserted them into the mix.

It took time and work but the results have been dramatic. Former 100-hour workweeks are now two-hour workweeks. My income is ten times as much as before. My physical health is robust, and I met and married the woman of my dreams.

Work the System describes the simple mechanics of repairing systems one by one in order to produce an extra-ordinarily efficient business, body, or relationship. With no esoteric theories, mystical suppositions or new-age/trendy presumptions, the principles are clear and understandable. It’s simple mechanics.

EverythingFinance, I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag.

I wasnt sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered.

Please review What Makes News News. It can really help if you follow the old "W5" news formula -- making sure you have answered the questions: Who? What? Where? When? And Why? (You might want to check out our J-Tips for more help.)

I donot think for the start up one can rely on system. At least to build the system you need to work without being in system. I would like to have ebook edition if possible to read full text.
