The Miami Herald's investigation found that the state has licensed over a thousand convicted felons as mortgage brokers and has allowed two thousand felons to work as unlicensed loan originators.

State regulators allow thousands with a criminal past to peddle home loans -- costing consumers millions.

Any wonder there's a mortgage crisis with this kind of stuff happening?

René, I like this story. It's good stuff. Not only their customers but the whole banking fraternity has lost out, plus any new customers find it a hard time getting a loan.

René, I like this story. It's good stuff. You know Rene it was said the Convicts were hired by companies to do telemarketing and Client service Reps, all while still in prison,. How friggin scary is that when giving out your credit card info and other info not knowing who you are talking to. Any they in the Government state, they are doing their best to fight Identity Theft,,,... HELLO~~!!!!

The Big Question here is: just how widespread is this practice? Other states? Other countries? And you can't even ask a government agency to verify if these are trustworthy agents or reps! They'll certainly tell you they are licensed!

Knew it would interest you. What do you think, is this widespread? Beyond just Florida?
